[about
the artist] After completing an art education
focused in the areas of graphic design and illustration, I
began offering commission portrait work at our family
gallery and studio which was opened in 1952 by my
grandfather Charles T. Allenbrook on Bearskin Neck in
Rockport, MA.
Pets and other animal subjects attracted me the most, and I
found them well suited to my style of working in the pastel
medium. Now, 15 years and dozens of portraits later I have
had the opportunity to do many pastels as birthday,
Christmas and wedding gifts, and family mementos that will
be passed down for generations.
